Charity project · since 2025

One toy, one smile

Mehrli Toys is a charity project that brings warmth to children in need of social protection. We place donation boxes in schools, learning centres and at festivals, and collect the toys no one plays with at home any more.

We clean and disinfect every toy and hand it to children in children's homes, hospitals and kindergartens ourselves. The project is non-commercial and runs on volunteers alone.

Drop a toy in the box

Who we work with

A toy's journey

A toy nobody plays with at home reaches another child's arms in five steps.

  1. 1

    Partnership with institutions

We agree with a school, learning centre or festival where the box will stand and who will tell pupils and parents. In many places the school's own student ambassadors run it.

From the channelRahimov School in Fergana became the first partner school, October 2025.
  2. 2

    Delivery of collection boxes

We bring a Mehrli Toys box and set it up. Beside it goes a small booklet about the project, so everyone knows why and how the collection works.

From the channelThe box at the Bilim Ziyo learning centre, July 2026.
  3. 3

    Toy preparation

We collect the full box and sort the toys: broken, torn or unsafe ones with small parts coming off are never given to a child. The rest are sorted by kind and age.

From the channelThe Angren box filled up, August 2026.
  4. 4

    Cleaning

Every toy is washed, disinfected and packed to hygiene standards. Only a clean and safe toy reaches a child's hands.

From the channelToys packed for the Blood Transfusion Centre, July 2025.
  5. 5

    Into charity events

We go to children's homes, hospitals and kindergartens and put the toy in the child's own hands. Often, with partner projects, we run interactive games and quizzes too.

From the channelKindergarten No. 37 in Angren, with NeuroHope, August 2026.

For all three days of the festival, 4 to 6 September, 12:00 to 21:00, our special box stood in the garden. Guests brought soft toys to the picnic and dropped them in themselves.

One rule: the toy must be clean, whole and safe for little ones. Afterwards we thanked everyone who took part; the toys collected will be handed to children.
